Like A Prom Queen
Not the first time I tried wearing a gown. The first was a surgery gown (which you have to be naked underneath, for gawd knows why), and this time it's the MRI ( Magnetic Resonance Imaging) gown (with boxers to keep my barrack warm, at least). Well, nothing to be shy about. Apart from the 4 other ladies and 2 other uncles present at the waiting room, it's all alright. But I have to say: Impressive how ladies in minis can take the chill.

So the prom was 3 weeks back. The results were out.
It reads as below.
"As mentioned in the history, the patient has an osteochondral lesion of the medial talar dome. The fragment measures about 9mm X 6mm. On MRI, although the upper surface appears mildly displace, it is attached to the underlying bone compatible with a healed lesion. There is a thin layer of cartilage overlying the superior surface of the lesion which shows heterogeneous signal possibly related to the previous trauma or surgery.
The anterior talofibular ligament is bowed anteriorly. The calcaneofibular ligament appears grossly intact. Increased signal seen in the posterior talobifular ligament is compatible with normal features. The deltoid ligament is intact with a small os subtibiale noted.
The anterior and posterior inferior tibiofibular ligaments are not well seen and the anterior appears disrupted. The ligaments of the tarsal canal appear intact. Small amount of fluid is seen surrounding the flexor hallucis tendon.
CONCLUSION
Displaced but healed osteochondral lesion of the right medial talar dome with overlying cartilage thinning. Associated bowing of the anterior talofibular ligament and likely disruption of the anterior inferior tibiofibular ligament is noted."Like I understand. Actually I do understand a bit. Just google a little.
Who needs consultants man.
